In Celebration and Memory of Maureen Thoroughgood (nee Garratt).
Maureen Thoroughgood (nee Garratt) was born in Croydon on April 04, 1942. Mum joined Dad at Margate Crematorium on 30th October 2013 - united finally & now forever at peace after her illness with Pancreatic Cancer.
Mum made it across to Ireland in December 2015. She spent a few days marking Xmas there with family before being laid to rest at The Giants Causeway - a spot she revisited whatever the weather. Sunday 6th December was splendidly sunny and a fitting day to settle Mum in her forever home. We were joined by Mum's Grandson Christopher, son of Debbie, who was laid to rest beside Debs in 2016.
In tribute to Mum's work with the children of Margate the family are supporting The Children's Society's work in Thanet. In the hope that others can catch the condition early we are also contribution to Pancreatic Cancer UK.

My last memories of my sister are when she nicked my motor cycles. One had a builders box side-car on it, how the devil she did it I shall never know, however she did use it - what a sister! Just take good care of yourselves please & donate in memory of Maureen. Uncle Bert

Thoughts
My mum the most loving and selfless person I know, she gave me the best childhood any child could wish for, she always had time for me and her cuddles took away any worries, she was a mum to who ever needed her and the most strongest women in the world she never had a break and life was always hard but she kept things together and never gave up I pray that she is now being treated like a princess as she deserves the best. Your baby girl loves and misses you lots xxxx
